My garbage disposal

Standard

This little boy is going to eat me out of house and home.

After hardly eating anything for the past couple of weeks, someone has found his appetite. Today was more of one continuous meal than 3 distinct ones.

It sort of reminds of me this little guy…

I tried to find the picture of him with the pb&j in one hand and his drink in the other. That’s probably my favorite picture ever.

Oh, that is my little brother for those of you that don’t know.

Also, I think they look exactly alike minus the hair color.

…and the awesome outfit Daniel has on.

Anyway, the house is shaping up. And by that I mean, it has a giant hole in the back where we tore all of the wood off. So, if any homeless people in Nashville need a place to stay for the night, just walk on in.

I should mention that we are not staying in the house yet. Mason would just crawl right out of the back and we would lose him.

Brent and I have only thought about divorce 4 times while we have been working on the house.

…it’s been 1 day.

I amΒ kidding, of course.

… kinda

100.

Standard

This is post number 100. It’s kind of crazy that many of you have read all 100 posts.

I feel kind of bad for you. I’m really not that interesting. πŸ™‚

Just kidding. Thanks for reading!!

I haven’t posted in a while because I knew this was #100 and I felt like I needed something big to write about. So, after about 3 weeks of waiting for something exciting to happen- I gave up and I’m just going to write something pointless instead.

During our 100 posts we have:

argued about flip flops and here…

debated texting versus calling

moved to Nashville

had a baby

baked a lot

told a lot of anonymous people off πŸ™‚

done a lot of cleaning and disposed of a lot of junk

picked multiple March Madness brackets

“renewed” my vows

given grammar lessons

survived cicadas

graduated college…finally

survived pregnancy

possibly the best of all, survived the pooptastrophe

Those are just some of my favorites. Thanks for reading (seriously). I love writing and it’s always nice to know someone is reading it. πŸ™‚

Smoothies

Standard

So- I’ve been in Nashville for a couple of days now and I haven’t died yet. In fact, I may have even had some fun…maybe. But if I had to say what I missed the most about Florida right now it would be Tropical Smoothie. You may or may not have been there. If you haven’t, you’re missing out. They have delicious smoothies and wraps. The.best.ever. And as a pregnant lady that pretty much wants to live off of smoothies, you can see why this is a big issue to me.

You see, in Nashville they have Smoothie King. Don’t get me wrong, the Smoothie King is great. In fact, up to about 2 months ago I would have told you the King made my favorite smoothies. But now, Tropical Smoothie has blown Smoothie King out of the water. Just in time for me to move away to Nashville and be Tropical Smoothie deprived.

As you can see, I’m now in quite a dilemma. Let’s all hope for it to work out. Maybe I can just move on to a new craving and leave the smoothies behind for a while.

I have to go. Lola is napping and is getting annoyed at my typing. She’s a priss.

P.S.- 12 days until my birthday. You can email me for an address to send my presents to. πŸ™‚

Tomorrow is the day

Standard

I leave for Nashville tomorrow morning. Should be an interesting ride considering I’m sick in the mornings and at night. πŸ™‚ I’m really excited for the new things to come, but really sad to leave West Palm. I have so many friends and memories here. I grew up down here and it’s hard to imagine living anywhere else. (Except for that time we moved to South Carolina. I like to refer to those as the “Dark Years”)

Anyway, I still have a million and 2 things to do before I leave in the morning. Lucky me, it’s finals week at school. Since I do online school it isn’t too bad, but I still have to get them done before I leave. I also have to make sure I’m in Nashville and rested in enough time to do a final on Sunday. (why do teachers only open finals for one day?!) So far- 2 down, 1 to go before I leave, and 1 to do on Sunday.

Not to mention all the stuff I have to try to cram in Brent’s little car. Maybe I’ll tie some stuff to the roof. That would be hilarious. Of course, I will only tie Brent’s stuff to the roof, no need in damaging my precious goods. πŸ™‚

Today was my last day at work. It wasn’t a real day at work. I just went in to finish up some stuff and to make sure the new girl (Cindy) was good to go. It’s really hard leaving and saying goodbye. I think those were my first goodbye’s. I managed to sneak out of church Wednesday to avoid all of those. It’s too rough. Plus, I hate “goodbye” I prefer “see ya later”. It’s not like I’m going away forever. I’ll be back to visit plenty. West Palm does have a beach and all. πŸ™‚

Tomorrow will be the hardest I’m sure. I have to say goodbye to my best friends ever- my parents. I’m pretty lucky to be so close to my parents, I know a lot of people aren’t. But, I think we all know it’s the best thing for Brent and me. Plus, there is a direct flight from Nashville to Ft. Lauderdale and I’m ready to rack up some frequent flyer points!

So, not that I feel I need to say goodbye on the blog- I’m going to keep blogging- but “see ya later” to my Florida friends and “hello” to my Nashville friends.

P.S.- My birthday is in 16 days!

Hello world

Standard

So- It’s been over a week since I posted last. I’ve been busy busy busy. Last week I was at Bible Camp all week. It was a great time with no internet. πŸ™‚ This week I’ve been busy at work training my replacement, Cindy. Since work is my main blogging time, you see why the blog posts have been lacking. πŸ™‚

Anyway, what’s going on with Brent and me? I leave for Nashville on Saturday. No- I don’t have a job yet. I have some interviews I’m waiting to hear back about. I’m not really worried about it. God seems to always take care of us. Brent finally got his paperwork to get his real estate licensing in Tennessee, so he should be up and running soon. It took much longer than we expected, but it’s all coming together now.

As far as being pregnant goes, I haven’t been throwing up or anything. And since I think throwing up is the worst thing in the world, I’m very thankful for that. I have been super tired and super nauseous the past few days. I’m also struggling with taking the horse pills (prenatal vitamins). Who created these things? They’re the size of my pinky finger!!

I’m sad to leave Florida, but excited for the new adventures ahead. I also super miss my puppies… and Brent…and my car (Brent’s car is the worst!). Doby’s birthday is Saturday and I’m missing it. We’ll just have to celebrate after I get there.

Anyway, I plan to keep everyone updated and I’ll get back to blogging more regularly once I get settled down. Who knows, we may even get Brent to blog again!

In case you didn’t know

Standard

In case you hadn’t heard on Facebook or Twitter (my two main lines of communication with the world), Brent and I are moving to Nashville. Actually- Brent already moved to Nashville with my puppies and left me down here. What a great husband.

Anyway, I’ll go up in a few weeks. I’m not really sure when yet. It’s exciting and sad at the same time. We’re excited for some new adventures and Brent’s new job and getting to reunite with old friends (that sounds weird). We’re sad to move away from possibly the most beautiful place in America (in my opinion) and all of our new friends and my mom and dad. I know we’re making the right decision, though. It’ll take some getting used to (especially the winters!!) but I’m sure I’ll manage.

I’ll keep everyone updated on the move. Wish us luck! πŸ™‚

P.S.- I started up my baking blog. There’s only one entry and there probably won’t be too many until after I make the move. But make sure to check it out. Thanks!

Home Sweet Home

Standard

It’s always nice to be back after a trip. Nashville was great. We had a ton of fun with all of our friends and Wes & Marcy’s Wedding was perfect.

Exhibit #1 of “fun”:

I think they’re singing “Don’t Stop Believin”

I laugh every time I look at that picture.

Anyway, we made it alive with the puppies in the car. It was about a 13 hour drive and they slept a majority of the time. I don’t know how they sleep so much. I was worried they would pee in the car, but they didn’t. So, no worries there. They also only destroyed a couple of things at Brent’s parents’ house.Β  I think we can take them on more trips now…maybe.
