It’s finally here- time to move!
We will be moving into our new house on Friday! I am so excited!! Needless to say, it has been a little crazy around here this week. I’m pretty sure Mason loves all the boxes that keep popping up everywhere.
He’s the only one. 🙂
In other news- my little brother is engaged!! I can’t believe it.
They are so cute.
Mom, Mason and I went to Henderson this weekend. So, he is completely spoiled. He’s always so good whenever other people are around and then when it is just the two of us at home, he acts like a crazy man. He also loves to do the opposite of whatever I tell someone he will do. He loves to make mommy a liar. All weekend, I would say, “Oh, Mason love to eat that” and he wouldn’t touch it.
He’s crazy. But we all knew that.
Just stopping in to share some “before” picture of the house. Keep in mind that I put no thought into these pictures and they really aren’t that great. 🙂
This is the living room
Part of the bathroom. I was sure I took a picture of the clawfoot tub, but I can't find it.
Looking into the master
The kitchen after we took everything out. ("we" does not include "me")
That’s really all that I took. They aren’t great, but the kitchen and the mudroom are the major projects so that’s where we will see the most change.
Should have taken a picture of the hole in my house.
Wish us luck!
This little boy is going to eat me out of house and home.
After hardly eating anything for the past couple of weeks, someone has found his appetite. Today was more of one continuous meal than 3 distinct ones.
It sort of reminds of me this little guy…
I tried to find the picture of him with the pb&j in one hand and his drink in the other. That’s probably my favorite picture ever.
Oh, that is my little brother for those of you that don’t know.
Also, I think they look exactly alike minus the hair color.
…and the awesome outfit Daniel has on.
Anyway, the house is shaping up. And by that I mean, it has a giant hole in the back where we tore all of the wood off. So, if any homeless people in Nashville need a place to stay for the night, just walk on in.
I should mention that we are not staying in the house yet. Mason would just crawl right out of the back and we would lose him.
Brent and I have only thought about divorce 4 times while we have been working on the house.
…it’s been 1 day.
I am kidding, of course.
So- life has been insane lately. I feel like I say that a lot in the past few months, but it’s the truth. The past few months have been insane. I think it’s going to start settling down for now. (I’m sure only to get crazy again!) Anyway, I know it’s settling down because I had time to bake today. I haven’t baked from scratch since we moved from Florida. In fact, I think I’m out of practice. I just pulled some cupcakes out of the oven and I think I overcooked them. yay…
For those of you that want to know, here’s an update on our life right now.
– We find out the sex of the baby on November 18! Everything is looking good so far. 🙂
– Brent has his first closing this month! He only had the listing for like 8 days and he got a contract put on it. He rocks!
– We’re going to the Auburn/ Georgia game on November 13th with mom and dad and Daniel. I can’t wait!! I’ve never been to a college football game. This should be a good one. Don’t be too jealous of me.
– The weather in Tennessee is insane. It’s cold one day and hot the next. The other day it was hotter here than it was in South Florida. Because of this, I have been having sinus problems for the past 3 weeks. I am not happy about this situation.
– Our house still isn’t unpacked. Not even close. We’ve been here for 3 or 4 weeks. We still have to dig through boxes to find stuff. Of course, Brent had the tvs unpacked and the cable and internet hooked up the same day we moved in. I should be working on unpacking now, but I wanted to bake and then blog. So, I just did what I wanted to do for once instead of what I should do. Try it out every once in a while.
That’s all I can think of for now. I’ve got to go try these cupcakes and see if they’re worth icing. 🙂
zooombie, zooombie, zooombie, eh, eh.
Anyway, that has nothing to do with my post really. It was just stuck in my head. My dad sings that song all the time and my mom tries to act like she hates it- but she doesn’t.
If you didn’t know (and I don’t know how you would)- we’re moving Friday!! We’re finally getting our own place. I just can’t wait. I need all my stuff unpacked because it has been cold up here and I have no longsleeve shirts or anything. We’re talking 50s this weekend, people!
That’s really it. I have to go and meet Brent at his men’s league basketball game and if I’m late, I’m sure he’ll have cow. 🙂
Just remember- if you’re feeling down- sing a song. It gets me through the day. 🙂
So- I’ve been in Nashville for a couple of days now and I haven’t died yet. In fact, I may have even had some fun…maybe. But if I had to say what I missed the most about Florida right now it would be Tropical Smoothie. You may or may not have been there. If you haven’t, you’re missing out. They have delicious smoothies and wraps. The.best.ever. And as a pregnant lady that pretty much wants to live off of smoothies, you can see why this is a big issue to me.
You see, in Nashville they have Smoothie King. Don’t get me wrong, the Smoothie King is great. In fact, up to about 2 months ago I would have told you the King made my favorite smoothies. But now, Tropical Smoothie has blown Smoothie King out of the water. Just in time for me to move away to Nashville and be Tropical Smoothie deprived.
As you can see, I’m now in quite a dilemma. Let’s all hope for it to work out. Maybe I can just move on to a new craving and leave the smoothies behind for a while.
I have to go. Lola is napping and is getting annoyed at my typing. She’s a priss.
P.S.- 12 days until my birthday. You can email me for an address to send my presents to. 🙂
I leave for Nashville tomorrow morning. Should be an interesting ride considering I’m sick in the mornings and at night. 🙂 I’m really excited for the new things to come, but really sad to leave West Palm. I have so many friends and memories here. I grew up down here and it’s hard to imagine living anywhere else. (Except for that time we moved to South Carolina. I like to refer to those as the “Dark Years”)
Anyway, I still have a million and 2 things to do before I leave in the morning. Lucky me, it’s finals week at school. Since I do online school it isn’t too bad, but I still have to get them done before I leave. I also have to make sure I’m in Nashville and rested in enough time to do a final on Sunday. (why do teachers only open finals for one day?!) So far- 2 down, 1 to go before I leave, and 1 to do on Sunday.
Not to mention all the stuff I have to try to cram in Brent’s little car. Maybe I’ll tie some stuff to the roof. That would be hilarious. Of course, I will only tie Brent’s stuff to the roof, no need in damaging my precious goods. 🙂
Today was my last day at work. It wasn’t a real day at work. I just went in to finish up some stuff and to make sure the new girl (Cindy) was good to go. It’s really hard leaving and saying goodbye. I think those were my first goodbye’s. I managed to sneak out of church Wednesday to avoid all of those. It’s too rough. Plus, I hate “goodbye” I prefer “see ya later”. It’s not like I’m going away forever. I’ll be back to visit plenty. West Palm does have a beach and all. 🙂
Tomorrow will be the hardest I’m sure. I have to say goodbye to my best friends ever- my parents. I’m pretty lucky to be so close to my parents, I know a lot of people aren’t. But, I think we all know it’s the best thing for Brent and me. Plus, there is a direct flight from Nashville to Ft. Lauderdale and I’m ready to rack up some frequent flyer points!
So, not that I feel I need to say goodbye on the blog- I’m going to keep blogging- but “see ya later” to my Florida friends and “hello” to my Nashville friends.
P.S.- My birthday is in 16 days!
