30 days of Thankful

Standard

For the month of November I’m going to let you know what I’m thankful for. And you should let me know too. We are all blessed more than we even realize and I always think it’s nice to put it down on paper… or blog world… what those specific items are.

I’m not going in any specific order so don’t think that I’m more thankful for new shoes than I am for Mason. 🙂

Day 1: My friends and family.

Well, duh, on that one. 🙂

Here’s my story.

My fridge is covered in pictures of, well, anyone that sends me a picture. If you send me a Christmas card or wedding invitation with a picture on it, I will put it on my fridge and I won’t take it off until you send me a new one. (I have lost a few in different moves)

Brent gets really mad about it. Not mad for real, he just doesn’t understand leaving wedding invitations from a year ago on the fridge. I just really enjoy that every time I go in the kitchen I see a bunch of smiling faces of people I love.

So for day #1, I’m thankful for that.

Busy bee.

Today was a busy day in the LOL (Life of Lindsey). I mean… It was as busy as it gets for me these days.

First, I had to deal with some school drama. I won’t bore you with the details.

Anyway, after that I went to lunch with my great friend, Malarie. We went to a super good Chinese place and she hit a curb while driving back to school. It was great, because I hit those curbs all the time up here. It’s nice to know that other people have trouble with them. The roads are so much more narrow around here. This Florida driver just isn’t used to them yet.

I am an excellent driver and all but these narrow roads just get me. Why make them so narrow? Why not widen them up so we can all swerve freely? It’s madness I tell ya.

Anyway, after that, I did some other stuff but it wasn’t nearly as exciting as the curbs.

Those curbs…

Home Sweet Home

It’s always nice to be back after a trip. Nashville was great. We had a ton of fun with all of our friends and Wes & Marcy’s Wedding was perfect.

Exhibit #1 of “fun”:

I think they’re singing “Don’t Stop Believin”

I laugh every time I look at that picture.

Anyway, we made it alive with the puppies in the car. It was about a 13 hour drive and they slept a majority of the time. I don’t know how they sleep so much. I was worried they would pee in the car, but they didn’t. So, no worries there. They also only destroyed a couple of things at Brent’s parents’ house.  I think we can take them on more trips now…maybe.

Some Thoughts

Standard

I don’t have enough on one topic to write about today, so I’m going to do a little topic-hopping. (That’s a good, new, made up phrase.)

First- We had girl’s night last night and it was a blast. I think there were 13 of us and it went great. I am so blessed to have such great friends and they are really blessed to have me as a friend! (just kidding. haha.) Also- I made molten chocolate lava cake for everyone for dessert. I  make it all the time and it comes out perfectly. Attempting to make 12 at a time didn’t go so well…of course. I think they still tasted ok though. 🙂

Second- VBS IS OVER!!! I have to say that VBS was super fun. At least to me. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. A big shout out to everyone that helped! Brent and I couldn’t have done it without you. I’m already excited for next year. If you want to check out some pictures, here’s a link.

Thirdly- I’m going to Disney this weekend with my parentals. It should be a good time. I am ready for a little vacation, even though next week I’m going on vacation to Nashville. 🙂

Fourthly- That reminds me. I’ll be in Nashville next week for Wes & Marcy’s wedding. I can’t wait to see it. I’m sure it’s going to be beautiful. Being married is great!

Fifthly- do you say the “f” in “fifth”?

Sixthly- Are you really still reading this? You are!! You deserve a prize. I wish I had a prize to give you, but I don’t.

I’ll make you a cupcake or something.

Seventhly- Father’s Day is Sunday, in case you forgot. I did not forget, but I did not have any time to get a gift yet and I leave for Disney this afternoon. So… I hope saying “Happy Father’s Day!” on my blog will count. 🙂

Eighthly- My hair is longer than it has ever been since I was, like, 7 years old.

Ninethly- Today is NATIONAL FLIP FLOP DAY! I think it’s Brent’s favorite day. I noticed he didn’t have any flip-flops on, though. Too bad for him. Tropical Smoothie is giving away free smoothies if you have flip-flops on. If you live in Palm Beach County, you need to go to the one on Donald Ross. Why? Because the owners are super cool.

Tenthly- Seriously- if you made it all the way to here, you deserve a prize. I will give you a sticker that says “Lindsey’s #1 Fan!” Because that’s what you are!

-Thanks for listening…or reading-

This is not important…

I just wanted to tell everyone that I fried something yesterday. Yes- fried. I have never done this before, but just so you know, it’s really easy. Except when the oil jumps up and bites your hand. I made fried zucchini and mozzarella sticks. They were good.

The end.

I’ve also called you here for another reason. I watched Dear John last night. I mean, give me a break. Do they get back together in the end, or what? Ridiculous. Now I have to read the book.

On another note, Brent’s friend, Mark, is coming tonight. They have been like little girls planning their days out on the phone. It’s pretty funny. I’m interested to see how this goes since Mark has said all of 10 words to me… ever. I’ve been working on some conversation starters. This is what I have so far: “Hey Mark! How ya doin?” I probably need to keep thinking…
